I am looking for a Ph.D. student to help me with modeling thermal transport processes in the atmospheric boundary layer. I am offering a fully funded position at the Mechanical Engineering Department, University of South Florida. The ideal candidate should have a very good grasp of OpenFOAM and computer programming skills. Familiarity with SOWFA, developed by NREL, would be an added advantage. Additionally, the student is expected to have experience working with high-performance computing clusters. Knowledge of the WRF (wind research and forecasting) model would be a plus.
