educational event in India: 5-day integrated training course
on Axial Turbine Fundamentals and Turbomachinery Design and
Optimization with AxSTREAM 3.0, to be held on January 17-21,

This intensive training course, developed by the SoftInWay
team having over 30 years of experience in designing flow
paths and teaching turbomachinery, consists of two
independent parts:

1. Axial Turbine Fundamentals (January 17-18). Part 1 is a
comprehensive overview of steam and gas turbine basics,
including turbine designs and cycles, initial turbine
sizing, multistage turbines, turbine calculation, design and
off-design operating modes, profiling, and 3D blade design.
The course is dedicated to engineers who want to acquire
more detailed knowledge of thermodynamics, gas dynamics,
structural analysis and basics of axial turbines and their
elements.

2. AxSTREAM Workshop on Turbomachinery Flow Path Design and
Optimization (January 19-21). This workshop includes a
special track customized to the interests of participants (axial
and radial turbomachinery, axial turbine, axial compressor,
radial turbine, centrifugal compressor and retrofitting and
performance upgrades). All participants get a free 1-month
license to use AxSTREAM software - a value of over 450 000
rupees.

The workshop contents include:

- Turbomachinery design theory and the use of AxSTREAM in
engineering practice;
- Axial and radial turbomachinery: design characteristics
and basic parameters;
- Design of an optimized flow path from preliminary design
to generation of 3D blade profiles;
- The innovative approaches to multidisciplinary analysis;
