Advanced Turbulence Modelling

This course gives a detailed introduction to unsteady
turbulent flow physics, with a particular focus on DES and
LES methods. It discusses the theoretical and numerical
approaches, and the best practice to adopt when conducting
an LES. Examples are given of LES of industrial problems
demonstrating methods of analysis, verification and
visualisation.

This course is ideal for those who are:
* involved in the simulation of complex turbulent flows and
need detailed best practice guidelines
* researchers/students who plan to or are currently studying
turbulence and/or RANS methods
* experienced engineers looking for a refresher course on
the physics of turbulent flows and current cutting-edge
modelling techniques with a particular focus on unsteady flows.
