Optimising Solving Speed using HPC
|
This seminar is intended to answer the following questions:
What factors are important when running FEA and CFD
calculations using HPC?
How can I achieve maximum scalability when running these
calculations?
What different types of hardware affect the performance of
solving?
What are the best practices for Job Scheduling and Remote
solving?
How can I use all this information to find the right balance
between licensing and hardware costs?

Description: |
The time taken to obtain simulation results are continually
marginalized, as we are ever increasing the complexity of
our simulation to resemble physical reality as well as
increasing the number of design parameters in the hunt for
the optimal design.
A trend in the IT industry shows that CPU time is in high
demand, especially if it is part of a cluster. Therefore,
it is important to run a parallel set up as efficiently as
possible. From a workstation, to a centralised server,
parallel scalability plays a critical role for today s
simulation needs.
Selecting and deploying hardware to work in synergy with
ANSYS HPC software solutions demonstrates a number of
factors that govern the efficiency of a parallel set-up.
