Optimising Thermal Cabin Comfort
|
Regulations on occupant comfort and temperature control are
causing manufacturers to consider the thermal management of
the cabin. How do you predict the thermal comfort of your
occupants, placing temperature sensors through the cabin?
Looking at airflows? This may be one way of doing it, but
these methods do not account for the shape of a person,
their clothing etc.

Description: |
Exa, in conjunction with major research establishments, has
developed a virtual human dummy for use in thermal design
work. These dummy models combined with highly accurate fluid
dynamics and thermal modelling enable engineers to design a
complete cabin in the virtual space before expensive tooling,
prototyping and testing take place. Adapting your company s
philosophy to include these tools as part of the design
process can end up saving significant time and money.
In this webinar we will show how Exa s tools can be used to
optimise thermal comfort in cabins using our virtual dummy.
Applicable industries;
Automotive, Truck Bus, Off highway agriculture, oOf highway
construction, commercial vehicle.
