ERCOTAC:Mathematical Methods and Tools in UMQ

UMQ is a new paradigm in engineering as it aims at taking
into account the many uncertainties affecting the behaviour
of physical systems. Key UMQs can be either operational
and/or geometrical resulting from unknown properties, such
as tip clearances of rotating compressor blades etc. Whether
working from conception into production or operating complex
systems/ processes, commercial success rests on careful
management and control of risk in the face of many
interacting uncertainties.
