Description: |
Computational Electromagnetics (CEM), an extremely versatile
technology requiring high performance computing environment
is poised to take over as universal methodology for
simulating problems in industrial R&D regarding
electromagnetics. Analytical solutions to electromagnetic
problems are often restricted by the assumptions used in
deriving those solutions. These assumptions can be
pertaining to range of frequencies or size of the problem
etc.
CEM is free from these restrictions as it is numerical
simulation of most general Maxwell's equations. Since the
objects to be studied are modeled in actual dimensions, CEM
is not restricted by the size of the object if enough
computing power is available. All the frequencies from
Rayleigh, Mie or optical region can be simulated from the
same software. CEM finds application in estimating the Radar
Cross Section of Aerospace and Marine configurations, design
of antennas, design of wave guides.
