Description: |
Title:First International Symposium on Free Surface Flows
2014
Organizer: Dr. Mohammad Javad Ketabdari, Faculty of Marine
Technology,Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran
Polytechnic) , Tehran, Iran
E-mail: ketabdar@aut.ac.ir
Free surface flows have great importance in various fields
of fluid mechanics such as hydraulics and marine
engineering problems. A better understanding of the
behavior of these flows will result in risk decrements and
also optimization of real projects. There are several
numerical and experimental methods which developed in
recent years for this aim. Particularly, there are some
numerical methods such as Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics
that have not a long history in modeling of free surface
flows and need to improve their capability in some
aspects. Great gained knowledge will help scientists and
researchers to find the best way to solve their problems.
The aim of The first symposium on free surface flows in
ICNAAM 2014 is to bring together researchers and scientists
interested in free surface flows from all around the world.
We believe that this results in a better understanding of
these flows and improve our knowledge about typical
numerical and experimental methods used in simulating of
free surface flows. We intensively invite interested
researchers to participate in this session by submitting
their papers about following topics:
Free Surface Flows (ONLY):
Mathematical modeling
Scientific Computing and Algorithms
Applications to the Sciences (Offshore, Marine, Sea Waves,
etc.)
Experimental Observations and Applications
Theoretical and Applied aspects
