Description: | |
This Symposium is the latest in the well established series of International Symposia on Fluid Control, Measurement and Visualization (FLUCOME). The first FLUCOME conference was held in Japan in 1985. Since then, it has been held every three years at various places in the world such as: Sheffield (United Kingdom), San Francisco (USA), Toulouse (France), Hayama (Japan) and finally Sherbrooke (Canada). The University of Naples Federico II, which dates back to the year 1224, is pleased to host the seventh of this series of distinctive symposia which will provide a forum for communication, and foster information exchange, in the broad domains of:
Invited keynote speakers will also be selected among renowned specialists in these disciplines to deliver magisterial lectures on important research topics of general interest. The Symposium will be held in Sorrento, a city located 52 km south of Naples on the peninsula separating the bay of Naples, which it faces, from the Gulf of Salerno. Sorrento has been a summer and winter resort since Roman times because of its agreeable climate and location. It offers a great selection of hotels and restaurants, well known to international tourism. The surrounding area includes Pompei, Ercolano, Capri, Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. The Proceedings of the Symposium will be published on a CD-ROM which will be made available to participants. The CD-ROM Proceedings will allow authors to include in their papers some color figures, video clips and animations. To ease the organization of the Symposium, prospective authors should submit an abstract of about 3000 letters and with proper keywords at their earliest convenience, but not later than October 1, 2002. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by December 31, 2002. The final CD-ROM paper must be submitted by April 30, 2003. Interested participants should please direct, as soon as possible and preferably by e-mail, their inquiries to the following address: |
