Web Seminar: Aerospace Fuel System Modeling with
Flowmaster - Part
2 : Controls In this second installment of a multi-part series, we will expand upon the fuel system model created for the last presentation and add integrated real-time controls. We will show an extension of the refueling operation case study covered last time to show how the inclusion of active control can solve many of the problems highlighted thus far. We will add a complete flight profile to the model and perform a case study investigating the efficacy of active in-flight fuel transfer to maintain wing loading. In parts three and four, we will cover fuel tank venting and inerting and also how one-dimensional performance data can be generated with three-dimensional CFD analysis.
