Description: |
The conference is meant to present the current state of computational fluid-dynamics and experimental
fluid-dynamics technology as they might apply to the design of heavy vehicles. Discussion of new ideas and
developing trends in computational and experimental techniques that hold promise for the coming 10-year time
span will be encouraged. Individuals from academia, from industry, and from government laboratories are
welcomed to participate-including those who are not presently contributing to ground vehicle aerodynamics, but
who are doing relevant, innovative work.
The conference will convene Monday evening, December 2, at Asilomar. Morning and afternoon sessions will be
held on Tuesday and Thursday and a morning session held on Wednesday. Wednesday afternoon is free for
recreation. Each session will contain invited presentations, and shorter, contributed presentations. Poster sessions
will be held Tuesday/Thursday evening as needed. The final session of the conference will be Friday morning,
December 6, with check out from Asilomar from 10 AM-12 Noon. A banquet dinner is planned at the Monterey
Bay Aquarium for Wednesday evening.
