Motivation & Scope :
The aim of this special session on “Optimization and
Computational Techniques used for Heat and Fluid Flow” is to
provide a platform for the researchers working in the field
of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to explore the recent
innovations in computational techniques to solve the whole
range of hitherto intractable fluid and heat flow problems.
The session is an interdisciplinary forum where the original
contributions in computational techniques applied for
various engineering discipline: aeronautic, civil, chemical,
applied sciences, mechanical, etc can be demonstrated. The
researchers working in computational, numerical and
mathematical areas are encouraged to submit their papers.
Indicative Topics/Areas (not limited to):
1.Computational strategies, architectures, algorithms, and
techniques evolved through numerical and/or mathematical
formulations.
2.Complex analysis and simulation techniques applied to
fluid and heat flows.
3.Computational Aerodynamics and Aeroacoustics
4.Computational Mechanics,
5.Computational biomechanics, Bio inspired mechanics
6.Simulation for hydrodynamics, Geophysical and
environmental systems
7.Turbulence, LES etc.
8.Fluid-structure interaction
9.Computational Heat Transfer,
10.Combustion and multi-species problems
11.Gas turbine blade cooling, Rotor dynamics
12.Optimization techniques for used for generation of model
and mesh
13.Quality and reliability, i.e. control of the accuracy,
stability, and efficiency of computational process
14.New computing environments such as distributed
heterogeneous and collaborative computing.
15.Industrial experiences in the application of the above
techniques, e.g. case studies or benchmarking exercises.
