Description: |
es-fsi (Expert System - Fluid-Structure Interaction) is
the latest release of an analysis tool developed and used
by adapco. It allows for the analysis of fluid-structure
interaction using STAR-CD, so that effects such as
flow-induced flutter, vibration and bending can be
dynamically included as part of the calculation. This
training course is intended for users wishing to include
such effects as part of their CFD analyses.
The course emphasis is on teaching students applicable
techniques for using es-fsi using realistic industrial
examples. Example problems to be solved by the course
attendees are:
o Fuel Tank Sloshing FSI Analysis
o Pressure-Actuated Valve FSI Analysis
o Vibrating Fan Blade FSI Analysis
As part of the course fee, users will receive a "limited
capacity" version of es-fsi, which will allow them to solve
problems having up to 200,000 fluid cells. Additional
information on es-fsi can be found at:
http://www.adapco-online.com/feature_arts/ezfsi
Course Prerequisites:
o A working knowledge of STAR-CD
o Familiarity with FEM techniques is helpful
No prior knowledge of es-fsi is required.
If you are interested in attending or obtaining more
information then please contact Scott Wilensky on
