Environmental regulations create a greater need to design efficient and clean combustors. The elements that will be presented to achieve these goals are fundamentals of combustion chemistry, numerical simulation of turbulent combustion and experimental techniques to investigate combustor flow fields. Finally, the design of a clean combustor will be described with emphasis on the combustor operability. Lecturers are experts from industry and research centres.
