Description: |
Continued interest in the development of hypersonic flight vehicles is based on their potential for lowering the cost of access to space and for revolutionizing intercontinental civil and military transport. However, advances in the critical enabling technologies require information from flight experiments. This VKI/RTO Lecture Series will present the perspectives of international experts on past, present, and future flight experiments designed to assess advanced propulsion concepts, new thermal protection systems, real gas phenomena and vehicle dynamics and control. (RTO-AVT-VKI Lecture Series).
