| Description: |
The objective of this Lecture Series is to provide an up-to-date account of problems associated with the design
and testing of advanced heat exchangers. Types and functions of industrial heat exchangers will be described. The
impact of modern experimental and computational techniques as well as the latest analytical methods on the design
methods for geometries with enhanced heat transfer will be outlined. Performance evaluation criteria and practical
issues such as start-up and fouling problems will be dealt with for single and two-phase situations.
