Ph.D. position is available for analytical and computational research on radiation heat transfer between nano-scale particles in presence of plasma. One position is available in the CFD group of professor A. Povitsky at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Akron (Akron, State of Ohio, USA) starting Fall 2024 (preferable) or Spring 2025. Candidates with background/interest in computational physics, CFD, radiation heat transfer, DSMC, and microfluidics are encouraged to apply. Candidates are expected to program using Matlab or a different software.
