There is an open position for a Ph.D. student in the Next-generation Energy and Environmental Devices (NEEDs) Lab at Gyeongsang National University. NEEDs Lab welcomes highly motivated students with a sound understanding of fundamentals in thermal engineering and a passion for interdisciplinary research for energy systems, mainly focused on heat and mass transfer. Applicants must satisfy the following: 1. Applicant should have an M.S. degree in a field related to thermal engineering. - Applicants must have completed thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer courses during their undergraduate or graduate studies. 2. Applicant should have published at least one first-authored article in Q1/Q2- level SCI(E) journal since 2022. 3. Applicants should not have religious requirements and must not have any picky dietary requirements. 4. Applicant should have an English language certificate (issued after May 12, 2019) with TOEFL(PBT 530, CBT 197, iBT 71), IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2, TEPS 600(New TEPS 327), or higher results. ※ Note: English language requirement is waived for an applicant from the following countries where English is used as the native or an official language (Ref. Department of Foreign Affairs in Korea: www.mofat.go.kr): New Zealand, Singapore, India, Philippines, Australia, United States of America, Jamaica, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, etc. The salary will be determined later (at least 2,000,000 KRW monthly).
