NAVIA is looking for a CFD oriented Hydrodynamicist / Naval architect 
to join our Boat & Yacht Design Team.
 
Navia is a leading Nordic boat and yacht design studio. We help launch, grow, 
and evolve progressive yards by integrating design and naval architecture. The 
office is located in Helsinki, Finland.


As Navia is continuing to develop its Naval Architecture team, we are looking 
for a Hydrodynamicist / Naval architect with CFD expertise to join our award-
winning team of designers and engineers.

You will be part of a team in charge of the technical definition and 
documentation of leisure crafts, from pre-concept up to follow-up of 
construction and sea trials.

As a CFD specialist you support the rest of the team by providing CFD 
modelization and analysis, but also being an active part of the team 
collaborating on the hull design, global parameters of boats, eventually 
structure (fluid-structure interaction).

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
●	Conscious definition of all parameters of simulation
●	Critical analysis of results
●	Define analysis/measurement plans for design support and optimization
●	Executing and leading CFD analysis assignments
●	Performance & propulsion calculation
●	Seakeeping analysis
●	Participating in internal meetings, presenting the results of analysis
●	Technical documentation & client communication
 
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
●	Minimum 2 years of experience on multiphase CFD calculation 
●	Deep knowledge of Star CCM+
●	Scientific mindset and trained in hydrodynamic
●	Good organizational skills
●	Curiosity and capacity to learn new skills
●	Fluent English
